To me the oil pressure is basically a yes/no thing. It's important to have. However, I've never seen anyone complain of low oil pressure. Rather it's a 'no oil pressure' situation that occurs quickly because the oil either dumped out of the engine or the oil was sloshing around under load. I just don't see how having a gauge that is telling you the oil pressure down to +/- 1 psi is any better than the stock gauge with a new oil pressure sensor? Maybe I missed some posts on here but it just doesn't seem like low oil pressure is ever an issue. In fact I think the canned response from most regarding the stock gauge is to replace the sensor first. That and from what I've seen people post, if the oil pump fails it's a pretty catastrophic thing....not something that slowly goes out.
Long story short I stick by my suggestion lower down to just replace the stock sensor.
